Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As Fall settles in, I’m filled with gratitude to be back home on the Central Coast after an intense end-of-session sprint in Sacramento. The beauty and serenity of this region never fails to help me recharge. I’m excited to share the impactful legislation that has made its way to the Governor’s desk, reflecting the hard work my staff and I have done to advocate for all Californians. From expanding access to safe drinking water to advancing electoral reforms, these efforts touch on some of the most pressing issues our state faces.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

We all know May as the month of Mother’s Day, but it felt a little different this year. It was the first time without my mom, and while the day still holds the same feelings of gratitude and love, it's now tinged with a profound sense of loss. As I reflect on the countless memories and lessons she imparted, I am reminded of the words of Washington Irving:

 Dear Friends and Neighbors,

 Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I think it is safe to say that March has just flown by and we are heading into an equally busy April. This month has been jam packed with celebrations whether it be to commemorate Women’s History Month, St. Patrick's Day, Ramadan, Easter or Cesar Chavez Day – I hope you have taken this time to reflect with hope and deep appreciation for our communities efforts towards progress and future successes.

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As we step further into 2024, I hope this newsletter finds you well and energized for the year ahead! If you did not already know, this is a Leap Year which means there is one more day in the month of February. So to any of my lucky constituents who were born February 29th 1940, I just want to wish you a happy birthday and I hope you enjoy your first “legal drink” at the ripe age of 21. You truly deserve it!
