“My heart goes out to the victims and their families, the community of Gilroy and the survivors of this horrific shooting.  I want to thank all of the first responders and law enforcement for their work as the investigation continues.”

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Senator Bill Monning (D-Carmel) issued the following statement about the Governor’s signing of his Senate Bill (SB) 200, which appropriates $130 million annually to fund the Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund for the next 10 years.

(SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA) – Today, Senator Bill Monning (D-Carmel) hosted a public forum with UC Berkeley and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to present the Economic Impact Assessment for Diablo Canyon. 

 

“The Diablo Canyon Power Plant has been an important part of the local economy for decades and the region needs reliable data and information to prepare for its safe closure,” said Senator Monning.  “Information from this report will give the county and schools the tools to plan ahead to mitigate any negative impacts of the power plant’s closure.”
