Soledad Community Health Care District recently welcomed Sen. John Laird for a special visit and tour of the district’s three vital facilities: Soledad Medical Clinic, the Women’s Health Center and Eden Valley Care Center.

The April 4 visit was led by Chief Executive Officer Ida Lopez Chan, who provided the senator with an inside look at the district’s ongoing commitment to providing accessible, quality care in South Monterey County. Laird engaged with employees, listened to residents and learned more about the unique responsibilities and challenges special districts face in delivering health care to rural communities.

“We are incredibly grateful to Sen. Laird for taking the time to visit our facilities and speak with the people who bring our mission to life every day,” Lopez Chan said. “His support reinforces the importance of ensuring health care access for underserved and rural populations.”
